Maria has extensive experience in physician compensation planning, medical practice development and operations, organizational performance improvement, and academic medicine. She oversees ECG’s Proprietary Research and Custom Survey practice, including the production of our national physician performance and medical group cost studies. Maria directs a staff that designs quantitative and qualitative studies, and she oversees secondary analyses, resulting in identification of market trends and industry insights necessary for implementation of provider organization strategies.
For more than 17 years, Maria has directed the conduct and expansion of our national adult and pediatric subspecialty physician compensation surveys, and she has played an integral role in launching ECG’s medical group cost and staffing survey for large integrated healthcare organizations. ECG’s custom survey products are developed in conjunction with healthcare organizations that are frustrated by the quality of data and the participant profiles of other national industry physician surveys.
In addition to Maria’s proprietary research responsibilities, she regularly presents findings to clients and industry groups around the country. She also participates in and manages numerous consulting projects within healthcare organizations, including assisting with compensation planning, fair market value assessments, medical staff planning endeavors, and medical group operations.
